Doughman! Doughman! Hey man give me a hit! |
Sing it loud proud and OHIO! |
S@M'S new cd Number Seven Uptown (Secretly Canadian) A nice record of minimalist song production, Swearing At Motorists Number Seven Uptown finds singer Dave Doughman weaving tales of woes and ho's, of sadness and loss, with drummer Don Thrasher and other folks chippin' in on the instrumental/vocal tip. The Doughman bakes up some fine musical goods, as he produced the record as well. More musicality on the disc via doubled vokes and creamier sounds, which might take away from the rawness of the songs, but hey, records are made to be sold. See 'em live for the full experiential effect, but this disc is definitely worth picking up. |
Click for the Secretly Canadian website. The SwearingatMotorists.com site is kinda weird, not exactly dedicated to 'em, but worth checking out nonetheless. cool diatribe about their SXSW appearance... |
