it was kinda dark at 507 Trinity, necessitating the SONY TRV11 to be on 'night vision' the whole time. however, this shot was culled from a video moment when someone took a flash.

ABPK ON THE RECORDED TIP!

ALPHA SOUNDS is the new disc from ABPK, which reminds me more of a Girls Vs Boys thang, with the vocals having a tinge of english to 'em, and the music more compact than the effervescent live show. I was reminded more of the Superchunklet meets Sonic Youth frame of guitar-minded craft. The drums stand out on this disc, and after repeated listenings, i grew to like it more and more. Songs like "Explode Again" carry major weight, with a very cool riff that the band comes back to over and over. Just a great song.
